Cold infusion for GI issues
Many people in our current culture have trouble with digestion. With many clients, this is where we start because what you are able to digest sets the foundation for good health.
Iād like to share my favorite recipe for a GI soothing cold infusion! This blend not only tastes good, but it also coats your GI tract in a soothing, healing herbal blend. It has helped myself and so many of my clients with even their fairly severe GI troubles.
Please remember, herbs work more slowly than pharma. Drinking this blend daily will help over time, but consistency is key. Plan to try it for at least 3-4 months, though most people see improvements much sooner.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis)
- 1 tablespoon chamomile flower (Matricaria chamomilla)
- 1 teaspoon roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa)
- 1/2 teaspoon true cinnamon chips (Cinnamomum verum)
- 1 quart room temperature water
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a tea infuser (or glass jar.) Pour water over the herbs. Cover. Let the herbs steep for 6-10 hours. Strain out herbs. Enjoy your cold infusion throughout the day.
*Warning ā do not consume cold infusion within 2 hours of taking pharmaceutical medications because it can inhibit absorption.
